Dog Walking

All dog walks are made on the lead unless at the specific request of the owner.  Whilst we are happy to walk off the lead, we accept no responsibility for the failure of your dog to respond to recall if not adequately trained. Whilst we will make every possible effort to retrieve your dog we accept no responsibility if we are unable to do so.   Also please be sure of your dogs temperament around other animals/people if you request us to walk off the lead and that if your dog was to cause injury you will be responsible for any action the owner may take or vets bills incurred.

Please note that all dogs left in our care for pet sitting MUST be fully vaccinated (unless a vet has stated in writing that it is not medically recommended for your dog).  If your dog is not neutered/speyed, please let us know if your bitch is due in season whilst you are away.  All dogs MUST have a collar, lead and visible id tag (these are legal requirements).

Illness and Death

Whilst your pet  is in our care it will be fed a variety of fresh food and its own brand of dried food.  It will be housed in  it's own housing that you are asked to bring with you(please check if this required at the time of booking), or alternatively we can provide suitable accomodation for rabbits, guinea pigs and ferrets.  It will not mix with the other boarders (to minimise the risk of any infection) except for its own family and will be handled, stroked, exercised, groomed and checked over daily.

Therefore, Holiday Hutches will not be held responsible for any illnesses such as Myxomatosis, Viral Haemorrhagic Disease (VHD), fly strike, mites or any other common disease.

Should your pet show any signs of illness  whilst boarding with us, we will try to seek advice from your named vet at cost to you, if bonded pets are required to be separated in the interest of the animals own health and safety, you will be charged for the additional accomodation, these fees and any vets fees will be payable on collection of your pet. If your own vet is not available then we will use our own vet to get the necessary treatment for your pet and any fees are payable by you on collection of your pet.

You should be made aware that at this moment in time, no licensing laws or regulations exist in respect of boarding small animals.  All animals are left entirely at their owners risk.
